Easy I thought and a good chance to play with textures and attempt to get the nice soft minimalistic style I have been after. By Saturday I realised I hadn't been in an op shop for over 8 years as I no longer do folk art I don't look for old pieces to do up. Blue was another stumbling block as it is not a colour we have in the house and I threw my hands up at retro as that style isn't my cup of tea at all.
Here are the final nine of my weekend and I must admit I had a lot of fun faffing around the photography table. I am looking forward to next Wednesday where I hope there will be a one and only theme for nine pictures and not nine themes!
Old | some old bits an pieces from scissors to lace to my grandmothers necklace
New | my new meditation tea light holder Nick brought for me on Friday with sage candles it is divine
Found | a cake slice I found in my grandmothers things along with a red velvet cupcake that I found in the cupboard
Blue | one of my old folk-arted items in French Blue
Vintage | my grandmothers vintage art deco tea set that Nick very kindly spent Saturday cleaning for me
Op Shopped | a last minute memory of rescuing the saw from an op shop to paint
Created | hand sewn mohair miniature teddy from back in my arts and crafts era
Retro | this had me puzzled till I read my new camera was based on a retro design
Read | London by Edward Rutherford - fantastic novel that I keep coming back to
#fjnine | all nine together
