Week 23 | 2014

I know winter has just started here and I am already looking forward to spring and some warmer weather, not to mention more daylight hours. Getting up in the dark and coming home in the dark is not fun.

This morning we walked around the botanical gardens with our cameras and although I didn't quite get what I was looking for I did get some which made being out in the cold worthwhile. Armed with my trusted macro lens I looked at smaller things and went in close instead of capturing a whole scene. Mushrooms are out in force at the moment and I did enjoy getting down onto damp ground to get some shots.

We are off to Creswick tomorrow to look for more mushrooms and perhaps a stop at the French Bakery that is there as well. After all what better way to celebrate the Queen's Birthday with French Bread and Italian coffee (ok yes it should be English Breakfast Tea with cucumber sandwiches and scones).

Week 22 | Sparkle

Week 23 | Flowers

I must say a big thank you to my husband who is always willing to lend a hand to assist with my photography even when it comes to wearing my fishnet stockings and putting on heels - he did say no to the corset though (bugger is that his calves look better in them than mine!)
