Art Thru A Lens: Week 51

Second last week of the year one week till Christmas and another two weeks on leave. I have actually started to relax this week and get my projects sorted for 2015. All Christmas shopping is done and wrapped and my gorgeous husband has earned big brownie points this year. I will post about what he has brought me for Christmas this week lets just say I have never had such a thoughtful present that is totally 'me'.

I have played with Nick' Samsung NX300 this week as after a long discussion and a near 'throw teddy out the pram' and replace teddy with Canon G1X and pram with window and you are closer to the mark. I cannot get the hang of the focusing on this camera at all and the manual focus sucks (sorry there is no other word for it). I am sure I am doing something wrong however I have not had one photo in focus. Serves me right for leaving the safety of Nikon and going to the dark side.

Nick very kindly leant me his NX300 to play with to see if it was the camera at fault or me. Hoping that Samsung didn't have self destruct buttons when used by Apple junkies I very tenderly started the new learning process. Much to my pleasure the NX300 was extremely easy to use and the manual focus was a dream. So looks like I have two major purchases next year the Apple Watch and the Samsung NX300 or its equivalent.
