Art Thru A Lens: Week 39

Another week has gone by and the Christmas decorations are already appearing in the shops? Why so early? My son who is an apprentice baker is already starting to talk about mince pies! Christmas seems to get earlier and earlier each year and more expensive. Is that because the shops are giving you more advertising for Christmas so you will spend more for a longer period of time instead of just the month of December? To be totally honest I have not given Christmas much thought as yet. I have a vague idea of what Nick would like under the tree (Gillian Anderson is not available so I am a little stumped there!) but as for everything else it still seems too long away to plan.

I know time will fly and it will soon be December and I will do my mad dash around the shops. Thanks to Pintrest Nick will go into a shop hand over his phone and even get them gift wrapped knowing I will love whatever he buys! This is the hardest part of Christmas for me always wondering if people will like what I have purchased and hoping I have brought the right size. Christmas day is easy as my side of the family get together right before or right after Christmas and Nick's side is overseas we spend Christmas day on our own. We enjoy good food (our lunch starts at 11am and finishes about 7pm) and good wine and each others company.

Well Christmas is another three months away............plenty of time to prepare.
